Let us Demonstrate The Gospel

“Don’t just proclaim the gospel,
demonstrate the gospel” – Joni Earckson Tada

Those were words of a Christian woman confined to the wheelchair for about 50 years, when interviewed by Bishop Harry Jackson on how the Disabled people in the US feel about the inequality and general discrimination going on in the world today, which cuts across gender, race, religion and so on and has also crept into churches.

Evangelist Joni, undaunted in her faith in God in spite of all said, “The church ought to be the place of unity where everyone demonstrates the true love of God and not just proclaim it” and I absolutely agree with her.

It is crystal clear nowadays how satan has taken the battle from outside, right into God’s house by creating division and trying very hard to defile God’s sanctuary while holy men and women who ought to resist him, look on unperturbed and totally indifferent.

However, this does not mean that there will definitely not be the co- existing period of the wheat and the tares until the harvest (separation) but that the true believers have the responsibility to watch and pray. (Matthew13:24-30)

Our consolation is in Matthew 16:18 where Jesus said that He would build His church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

The church is the only place where there are no Jews or Gentiles, Bond or free. Where all that matters is that we serve only One True God, we have One Faith, One baptism and may I add, that we (The true saints of God) are One Body in Christ.

Our nation, Nigeria is not left out in this pathetic situation as she has joined the fallen nations of the world to grope in darkness without the True God, a teaching priest and law. (2Chronicles 15:3)

There are now many records of crimes and violence against humanity vis à vis the mulitiplication of religious centres (which is not tantamount to holiness and righteousness) than ever witnessed before in Nigerian history. A great number of people only pay lip service to God, His word and way.

Our Judicial system has become a phony. Those who make the laws, break them right before very our eyes. Can you imagine what will become of the younger and yet unborn generations of lawyers and judges when justice is daily perverted in both the high and low places? God is watching!

Our pulpits, offices, colleges and so on are filled with lying, manipulating devils who disguise as ‘men and women of God’, almost making it difficult for the Truth of God to be upheld.
Nonetheless, God still has a remnant for Himself, a peculiar and holy people, Light who shine brighter in darkness and darkness can comprehend it.
In fact, He has already reached a verdict and it is only a matter of time before the ground caves in on the evil ones who do not repent and they will fall like a pack of cards.

It is time for us to lift up our voices and pray, asking God to heal our land, our people and set our minds free.

2Chronicles 7:14 “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

We need a revival now more than ever.

God bless Nigeria as we continue to live in peace and unity.
