No one values peace more than someone experiencing a turbulent, chaotic and extremely difficult situation.
Peace is however, not an absence of war or trouble but the unique state of tranquility God puts us in, amidst terrible crisis, thereby giving us a true sense of hope and safety in His Loving Arms and Presence where we are securely protected and our fears and anxiety are forever conquered.
As I mused within my spirit last week, asking God for the topic of November’s article since I had not heard from Him yet because I had been busy with many things that required urgent attention; I heard the word ‘Peace’ and I quickly responded, “I have written on it before”
The next statement, I heard, was “Peace is not the absence of war”
Then I understood, that was God’s answer to the question I had asked within my heart.
This made me wonder what might be the nature of the new month and the reason why God would want to assure His people once again to remain peaceful,
(Immediately, I concluded that perhaps there may be a looming danger or serious calamities ahead that might contend with or stiffen the Peace, God gave us.
O how great is Our God! Who always confirms His Word and establishes it in the mouths of two or more witnesses!!
2 Corinthians 13:1
I was in great awe of Him on Sunday, as I listened to Our Beloved Father in The Lord, the Pastor of The Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare announcing a Solemn Assembly tagged, “Peace in a raging storm”.
What perfect timing to nip things in the bud spiritually as The Almighty God Himself had called for global intercessory prayers on behalf of our nation and families to remind us repeatedly of His Unfailing love, Abiding Presence and Great Peace as we completely put our trust in Him alone!
Friends, there may be a raging storm, a tempest or even trouble on every side but be rest assured that God is not leaving your side or my side for a second!
He has promised us His Everlasting Peace and He will surely keep us safe and sound because He never fails!!
The thoughts of how He will do it, may be so overwhelming and unimaginable for us but let us rest in Him because He will definitely come through for us. His Covenant of Peace with us shall not be broken. Isaiah 54:10; Ezekiel 37:25-26;
Remember how the Children of Israel were afraid and thought they would perish at the Red Sea? But see how God miraculously saved them and destroyed their enemies!
Peter and the other disciples also thought they would die in the raging storm but see how Jesus calmed the storm, the sea and the waves and saved their lives!!
OUR GOD IS MIGHTY! OUR GOD IS GLORIOUS!! OUR GOD IS POWERFUL!!! OUR GOD IS VICTORIOUSLY GREAT!!!!
THERE IS NOTHING TOO HARD FOR HIM AND THERE IS NO ONE AND NO SITUATION TOO DIFFICULT THAT HE CANNOT OVERCOME!!
Therefore, I speak HIS PEACE to our beloved Nation, Nigeria;
PEACE to our Homes, our Lives, our Children, our Families, our Loved Ones, our Businesses, Education, Jobs, Ministry, Health and Finances in Jesus’ Name!
SHALOM! SHALOM!!
