Faith

As the age closes out and we patiently await the soon return of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, one of the core values of our relationship with God that we must meditate upon daily is FAITH.

Therefore, this month, we shall be navigating through scriptures to better understand why Faith is so essentially, strongly close to The Father’s Heart.

First of all, What is Faith?

According to Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV), “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Consequently, Faith is a valuable asset; a rare treasure, divinely embedded in great confidence, trust or belief in God.
It is also the way of life of Christ that we, believers are called to adapt to because following God necessitates Faith!

Its very potent role in our salvation makes satan fight against us with every weapon in his armoury. (Mark 11:23-24; Ephesians 2:8; 6:10-18)

In addition, the administration of the power of God in our lives revolves around the circumference of faith and the Will of God. Therefore, Faith helps us build divine relevance in God’s Kingdom; to build resistance and secure immunity to demonic attacks and assures us of longevity.

Faith is also activated through total surrender in obedience to God and His Will, thus it brings upon us, His Power and Glory.

The greatest source of faith is The Word of God which gives guidance and direction.
(Psalm 119:105: Romans 10:17: Hebrews 4:12)

KEY POINTS AND SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT FAITH

1. Who should have faith?
All God’s children. (A measure of faith is given to every believer to receive the gift of salvation). (Romans 12:3)

2. What amount of faith do I need as a believer?
The size of a mustard seed. (Luke 17:6)

3. Why is Faith important in pleasing God?
It is the only currency in the Spirit realm and the only supernatural energy that attracts God’s attention to draw down the miraculous upon Man.

4. Why does Jesus want to find Faith on earth when He returns?

The prevalence of all manners of evil, sins, tests, trials, hardship and persecutions with unbearable intensity will cause people to doubt the divine ability of God to meet their needs, fight their battles and even trust in His undying love for them but His Beloved will continue to love, serve, honour and trust Him more without giving up on Him despite all they are subjected to.

5. How do I grow in faith?
* Through reading, studying, confessing and hearing God’s word. Isaiah 30:21, Romans 10:17, 2 Timothy 2:15.
* By praying. Jeremiah 33:3, I Thessalonians 5:17
* Through persistent exercise or practice. Mark 11:23-24
* By never giving up on God. Hebrews 10:35-38

Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ reads, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

In conclusion, like Love, Faith is also the character of God and without imitating Him on this, it is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to PLEASE HIM and BE PART of ANYTHING HE IS DOING!

GOD BLESS YOU ALL AS YOU STRIVE TO PLEASE OUR HEAVENLY FATHER.

Shalom!
