How are we fulfilling prophecies? PART 2

I Timothy4: 1-16 prophesied about the falling away from faith and giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking of lies in hypocrisy and having their own conscience seared with hot iron (being resolute on what is absolutely wrong without any intention to welcoming a positive change), forbidding to marry (perhaps, for fear of commitment and responsibility but not from sexual intimacy) and commanding to abstain from foods which God created.

Please note that these were spoken about Christians who were not completely yielded to God in all their ways. They were warned to repent because they were fulfilling scripture negatively.

Lastly, 2 Timothy 3:1-9 talked about how men (people) will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And advised, “From such people turn away”.

Our society, nuclear or extended families, churches, offices, schools etc today, are full of so called christians in these categories just like in the days of Paul and Timothy. They serve God for what they are to gain, not willing for Him to live the life of Christ through them. This is a very dangerous and careless way to live. Jesus is coming very soon.

It is advisable for you to repent now, if you are reading this and you are in any of these categories.
Please, prayerfully turn a new leaf. 2Corinthians 5:17 says, “therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away: behold, all things become new.”

Tomorrow may be too late. Please, do not harden your heart. God bless you as you obey.

Shalom
