I Do not Come to Call The Righteous But the Sinners To Repentance

“I DO NOT COME TO CALL THE RIGHTEOUS, BUT SINNERS, TO REPENTANCE” MARK 2:17B

Our Messiah, The Lord Jesus Christ made this statement when He was criticized by The Scribes and The Pharisees over His interaction with tax collectors and sinners.

To them (although not clearly stated), He was supposed to be seen with the “Righteous” but Jesus knowing better, said He came to call sinners to repentance which was, then and still is now, more profitable in God’s Kingdom (Luke15:10).

Since creation, there have been more sinners than saints on earth, otherwise these scriptures would not exist in the bible. Romans 3:23, Matthew 7:13-14, Luke13:24.

Our Saviour described sin as an ailment that must be cured by Him, The Great Physician, therefore He did not only befriend SINNERS to heal and deliver them from bondage, He paid the ultimate price. HE SACRIFICED HIS LIFE for their FREEDOM from SIN.
Mark 2:17; 14:24; John15:13-15.

The penalty of sin is death but He offers every sinner Eternal Life in Christ Jesus, simply by accepting Him and allowing His Blood wash him or her clean. Ephesians 2:1-10

Before Him, there is no unpardonable sin (except blasphemy against The Holy Spirit) Matthew 12:31. He is ever willing to forgive anyone who boldly approaches His Throne just as he or she is and His grace is sufficient for all. Hebrews4:16.

Receiving Christ is the Only Way out of sin and death. John14:6.
Hell was not meant for humans but men by their own will and choice end up there daily. 2Peter2:4

Therefore, Friends, choose Christ Jesus today, choose Salvation through His Precious Blood, Choose Eternal life. John3:15-21; 5:39; 10:28; 17:2-3.

God bless you all.

Shalom!
