God is ever faithful. (Psalm 89:1-2, 33; Lamentations 3:23) His wisdom is unsearchable and His knowledge so deep, even the most intelligent of all men can never outwit Him.
The bible declares His faiithfulness. Since creation , every spoken word and created thing have remained the same at His command from generation to generation.
Why is God so faithful? Why is His way so perfect and His word proven? (2Samuel 23:22)
Before we go further, let us define the word ‘faithful’.
To be faithful means to be loyal, dependable, unfailing, adhering to a person or cause, reliable and worthy of trust.
God is the epitome of faithfulness. He is very loyal, dependable, reliable and trust worthy. Everyone can safely put his or her trust in Him.
Did you just quietly ask yourself, then why does He not answer every prayer or even work things out exactly the way we ask Him?
If you have ever been promised something and your thoughts regarding that promise and the person who made the promise before its fulfilment, were filled with anxiety, despair, pain, sadness or impatience, then this topic will be of help to you.
No doubt, we have all been there before, at least once in our lifetime and must sincerely confess, waiting for the fulfilment of a promise is one of the most difficult things to ever do.
The usual fear of the unknown or unexpected, loads of nerve wrecking worries, all because of the weight of the promise and the reliability of the person who made the promise.
Often times, these concerns are absolutely unnecessary because worrying neither speeds up the process nor changes anything. Every promise will of necessity, take its due course, its divine allotted time and process to be fulfilled.
However, the frail human nature, always fuelled by the unsolicited support from satan, feeds on doubt or unbelief which makes us stumble and alter God’s plan for our lives if we do not learn to submit ourselves totally unto God.(James 4:7)
No wonder He assures us severally in the Holy scriptures that He will never go back on His promises.
Hebrews Chapter 6 verses 13 through 18, ” For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”
And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
For men indeed swear by the greater, and an oath for confirmation is for them an end of all dispute.
Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.”
God swore by His Name and His word to our father, Abraham and we are partakers of that promise and many more till this day. He is indeed forever faithful.
The fact that certain promise made is not fulfilled yet in our lives, does not negate its authenticity. Though it tarries, wait for it. For it will surely come, it will not tarry. (Habakkuk 2:3).
That promise is already signed, sealed and delivered. Allow His angels perform their duties.
Please, remain faithful in His abiding presence under The shadow of His wings.
Shalom
