“And as for Seth, to him also a son was born and he named him Enosh. Then men began to call on the name of the LORD”. Genesis 4:26
Seth’s lineage acknowledged the importance of the relationship with God and reverencing His Name, after the fall and death of Abel, thus, they wasted no time in doing the needful.
Although God wiped out the earth with the flood because of sin, Noah and his family were spared because he found grace in His sight (meaning He called upon God therefore, God carried him along on His plan).
The significance of the Name and voice of The Lord, in the life of a believer and in Christendom generally, cannot be overemphasized.
Psalms 29:1-11 describe the power, majesty, sovereignty, supremacy, strength and peace in the voice of The Lord, as we give Him the glory due to His Name.
Philippians 2:9-11 tell us the secret behind the Name of the Lord.
Hebrews 6:5-20 talk about the two immutable things through which God cannot lie. His Name and His Word.
God is His Word and His Word is God. John 1:1
The voice of God is His Word. Hebrews 4:12
We cannot separate, nor underestimate God’s Name and His voice.
Friends, our help is in the Name of The Lord and His Word will navigate us through all the storms of life, no matter how difficult the situations are. Let us put our trust in Him!
May The Lord abundantly bless you as you extol His Name and hold on to His Word.
Shalom!!
