What we Ought To Do as Believers in this End Time

The great commission passed down to all His disciples, beginning with the 12, was to preach the gospel (The kingdom of God is at hand, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons and to give freely, all we received freely) (Matthew 10:5-8, 27).

Our main job is to populate Heaven and depopulate hell at every given opportunity.

However, to achieve this, we will make constant contact with the world but through the prayers of Jesus for us, we are kept from any contamination from the evil one. (John 17:14-18)

God in His infinite mercies desires that all men be saved, therefore He reaches out to the lost sheep through believers. To Him, every soul is priceless (Matthew 18:11-14) and they must also be to us.

“Does this then mean believers are exempted from the vicissitudes of life, that is, they have no cares and worries of their own?”

The answer is “NO”

Like everyone else on earth, believers encounter a fair share of life’s problems, if not more but are chosen by God’s for the works of Harvest, alongside carrying their cross.
However, the great comfort and consolation in Jesus Christ is that we remain yoked with Him, He is Our burden bearer and we have great reward in God. (John16:33, Acts14:21-22, 2Corinthians 6:4, Matthew 5:12, 11:28-30)

Moreover, being a believer in Christ means being recognised as a Saint in Heaven and an arch enemy in hell. As God deploys all Heavenly resources to help, bless, keep, protect, save and deliver us, satan and his cohorts form their deadliest weapons against us but victory is always ours in Christ. (Isaiah 54:17, 1Corinthians15 57, Colossians 2:15; 1John4:4, 5:4-5)

OUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS BELIEVERS IN THIS END TIME

1. LOVE
Without compassion, we cannot reach out to all men.(Matthew 9:36, 14:14, 15:32, 20:34; Mark1:41, 6:34; Romans12:9-10, 13:10, 1John4:7-11)

(Please note that not everyone we are led to, will be a sinner, some will be backslidders needing love and prayers to be restored back to faith. Others, believers needing love, counsel, encouragement, healings, miracles and so on) May we always be the intruments of His love tuned to His Spirit at all times.

2. EVANGELISM
i. One on one evangelism
ii. Lifestyle evangelism
( Through preaching, teaching and living the Word) Matthew4:17,10:7; Mark1:38, 16:15; Luke 4:18.

Please note that Mark 16:15 reads,
“And He said to them, “Go into all the world and PREACH the GOSPEL to every CREATURE”

There is no selective evangelism or selective audience (“the lovable” and “the unlovable” both deserve God’s word and love) because Christ died for all men.

3. PRAYERS
(Intercession, Supplication, Warfare, Thanksgiving, Petitions)
There is need for daily, regular effectual and fervent prayers by every believer.
(Matthew 5:44, 6:5-13, 9:38, Luke 18:1, Ephesians 6:18, Romans 8:26, 1Timothy 2:1-2, James5:16, Revelation 5:7-8)
Praying also in The Holy Ghost as instrument of warfare against hosts of darkness

4. WORSHIP
As believers, God’s highest praises should be in our mouths always.
(Psalms 149:1-9, Revelations 5:9-14, Acts 16:25, Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16)

5. OCCUPYING TILL HE COMES
Like the parable in Luke 19:12-27, believers are to occupy till Christ comes. We are expected to activately engage ourselves in the work of the Ministry, our professions and vocations till Christ returns.

6.AWAITING HIS SOON RETURN
We are encouraged to payerfully and watchfully await Christ’s second coming. (1Corinthians 15:50-58)

May God keep us faithful till end in Jesus’ Name.

God bless you all.

Shalom!!
